Coronavirus Highlights: India Records 1,778 New Covid Cases In 24 Hours

New Delhi: India on Wednesday reported a total of 1,778 cases of fresh coronavirus in the last 24 hours, taking Covid-19 Tally to 4,30,12,749. According to data from the Ministry of Health Union, the active case declined further to 23,087 today.

Active cases consist of 0.06 percent of the total infection. The National Covid-19 recovery rate was recorded at 98.74 percent, it showed.

Reduction of 2,741 cases have been recorded in the Covid-19 Kaseload active in the 24-hour range. The daily level of peposititivity was recorded at 0.28 percent, while the weekly front level reached 0.39 percent, the ministry said.

Over 182 Crore Covid Vaccine Doses Administered In India: Government

More than 69 doses of Lakh Covid-19 vaccine have so far been given to beneficiaries in the 12-14 year age group, the UNI Ministry of Health on Wednesday. The cumulative number of covid vaccine doses given in the country crossed 182 crores on Wednesday, he added.

More than 28 lakh (28,17,612) the vaccine dose was given until 7pm on Wednesday, the ministry said, it added that the calculation of daily vaccination is expected to rise with the compilation of the final report by late at night.

More than 69 lakh (69,99,528) the dose of vaccine has so far been given to beneficiaries in the age group 12-14, according to ministry data.

More than 2.21 crores (2.21.14.924) Prevention doses have been given to health workers, frontline workers and those over 60 years old, the ministry said.
