A high-level meeting was summoned on Wednesday by the Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya to track preparedness and the level of Indian alertness because several Asian countries reported another surge in the case of Covid-19. India has just begun to revive itself from the third wave of omicron led pandemic. The center recently announced plans to continue international flights from March 27 after a two-year gap.

Emergence of Covid-19 variant BA.2
