A number of series and high profile Pokemon series were arranged to leave Netflix in the United States in April 2022 even though Netflix was mostly a Pokemon home in recent years. This is the film and Pokémon show who goes and what lives.
All titles listed below are deleted on April 1 in the United States. We have no confirmation of whether other regions will be affected at this time. With what is said, we usually see licensed Pokémon based on per region so that it might not be so they leave Netflix globally.
List of Pokemon Movies and Shows Leaving on April 1st
- Pokémon the Movie: I Choose You! (2017) – Added to Netflix on January 1st, 2019 – When Ash tries to pick his first Pokémon on his birthday, he ends up with a stubborn Pikachu and they embark on a journey to find the legendary Ho-Oh.
- Pokémon the Movie: The Power of Us (2018) – Added to Netflix on January 1st, 2020 – Ash and Pikachu journey to Fula City for its Wind Festival. When disaster looms, they must work together with a group of misfits to save the day!
What Pokemon titles will remain on Netflix?
Despite the removals, there will still be a large number of Pokémon series and movies on Netflix.

- Pokémon Indigo League
- Pokémon Mewtwo Strikes Back
- Pokémon the Movie: Secrets of the Jungle
Pokémon remains one of the most fragmented IPS in the United States. While Netflix is an exclusive home for a newer season, many older shows and films are scattered or not available through streaming services.
Netflix was also invested in future Pokémon projects in the form of TV series with Joe Henderson Lucifer installed.
For example, Pokemon series: XY is only upstream while some films are only available in the main video.
For long-term success IP, we would expect someone to finally buy all the rights to have all the films and show under one roof but clearly, it doesn’t happen in the near future.
