Russia-Ukraine Crisis: Explosions Heard In Ukraine Capital Kyiv, Other Cities

Kyiv, Ukraine: The explosion was heard before dawn Thursday in the capital of Ukraine Kyiv and several cities near the frontline and along the country’s coast, after Russian President Vladimir Putin announced military operations.

The AFP correspondent also heard the explosion in the Black Odessa sea port city, with police and ambulance sirens heard in all capital of Ukraine.

 

The explosion was also heard at Kharkiv, a large city of 35 kilometers (20 miles) south of the Russian border.

 

Four loud explosions were heard in Kramatorsk, a frontline city that functions as an effective capital of the Ukrainian government for the Zone of the Eastern War, and more and more heard in the eastern port city of Mariupol, AFP journalist said.

Ukraine closed the airspace to the civilian aircraft, and Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba tweeted that his country faced “full-scale invasion”.
