  • Kia Carnival Beats Toyota Fortuner In Feb 2020, Becomes Top Selling Premium Car
  • Kia Carnival premium MPV recorded a total of 1,620 units in its second month in India.
  • The Grand Carnival takes you to a place where superior design and truly smart features combine with a deep understanding of your practical driving needs.

Kia Motors India Limited had its best month of presence in Indian market in February 2020 as 15,644 units were garnered. The South Korean auto major has consistently been outselling some of the established brands courtesy of the Seltos and the arrival of the Carnival premium MPV has also played out in its favour.

It derives power from a 2.2-litre VGT diesel engine which is good enough to produce a maximum power output of 200 PS and 440 Nm of peak torque.

Measuring more than 5.1m in length, the Carnival stands tall and wide and has an imposing stance. Even the wheelbase is more than three metres. Dominating the upright fascia is the large tiger-nose grille with square-gated design.

Kia managed to register 1,620 units with the Carnival last month as against the 1,510 units of Toyota Fortuner, thus became the best selling premium car in India last month.

Should I buy Kia Carnival ?

Buyers looking to upgrade from Innova Crysta would find the Carnival as an ideal choice since the next big thing we have here is the V-Class which retails at thrice the cost. It would also be a viable choice for buyers ready to spend Rs 30-40 lakhs on a large seven-seater but don’t need a rugged 4×4 SUV. Being feature-loaded, imposing to look, and demanding immense street presence, the Carnival ticks a lot of boxes for the Indian buyers.

At the 2020 Auto Expo, Kia introduced the Carnival with a starting introductory price of Rs. 24.95 lakh (ex-showroom).

Live the luxury of freedom

The Carnival is offered in India with Aurora Black Pearl, Glacier White Pearl and Steel Silver paint schemes.

Behind the wheel, it doesn’t let you know that you are at the helm of such a large vehicle. High-speed stability is remarkable when cruising at triple-digit speeds.

Overall, the Kia Carnival is a handsome and brawny looking people mover. It is large, has an imposing street presence, it demands attention, but is easy on the eye despite the humongous proportions.
