What is full form of FIFA ?
The Fédération Internationale de Football Association. In English, the translation is – International Federation of Association Football.
It is a non-profit organisation which describes itself as an international governing body of association football, fútsal, beach soccer, and e-football. It is the highest governing body of football.
Why is the world cup every 4 years ?
FIFA is held every four years because of tradition, logistics and prestige. Tradition – comes from the Olympic Games that were held every 4 years. An Olympiad is a period of 4 years from ancient Greek history.
The World Cup is arranged every 4 years but not to compete with the Olympic Games because of this tradition.
Who started Football in India ?
In 1889 India’s oldest current team Mohun Bagan A.C. was founded as “Mohun Bagan Sporting Club”.
This was the first club to be under the rule of the army. Both Hindus and Muslims players played in it. Several football clubs like Calcutta FC, Sovabazar and Aryan Club were established in Calcutta during the 1890s.
Where will be held The FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup ?
The FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup to be held in India in November was on Saturday postponed by the football’s world governing body due to the worsening Corona-virus pandemic.
The working group recommended The Bureau of FIFA council to postpone the FIFA Under-20 Women’s World Cup Panama/Costa Rica 2020 – originally scheduled for August/September 2020 – and the FIFA Under-17 Women’s World Cup India 2020 – originally scheduled for November 2020.
The tournament was to be competed among 16 teams, with hosts India being automatic qualifiers. It was to be India’s maiden appearance in the U-17 Women’s World Cup.
The women’s age group showpiece was to be held at five venues in the country from November 2-21.

The official schedule of the tournament was announced in February and Navi Mumbai was to host the final.
Who taking all decisions ?
The decision was taken by the FIFA-Confederations working group which was recently established by the Bureau of the FIFA Council to address the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Over 50,000 deaths have been caused by the deadly outbreak so far.
While the tournament itself is five months away but just a few qualifying events have been held so far and the remaining have not been held due to the global health crisis which has affected more than a million people.
