China Cyber Attack On Power Grid Near Ladakh Between Aug-March: Report China Cyber Attack On Power Grid Near Ladakh Between Aug-March: Report

New Delhi: China-sponsored hackers target India’s electricity distribution center near Ladakh for the past eight months, a report by a private intelligence firm recorded in the future said on Wednesday, in a new potential flame point after a prolonged military position between the two countries in the region.

“In the past few months, we observed the possibility of network intrusion targeting at least seven Indian state load delivery centers (SLDC) which were responsible for carrying out real-time operations for electrical control and shipping in each country. In particular, this targeting is geographically concentrating, with the identified SLDC located in North India, which is close to the disputed Indian-China border on Ladakh, “the group said.

The attack took place between August last year and lined up, said the source. Investigation finds data that enters and exits the Indian load delivery center to command and control control of China’s sponsored countries spread throughout the world, they said.

“In addition to targeting the power grid assets, we also identify the compromise of the national emergency response system and Indian subsidiaries from multinational logistics companies by the same threat group,” said the future.

The group said they told the government their findings before publishing reports.

According to intelligence companies, which are considered one of the largest in the world with specialization in identifying threats from state-sponsored hackers, Chinese strikers try to gather information about the critical infrastructure system.

“Remember continuing the targeting of state and regional load shipping centers in India for the past 18 months, the first of Redecho and now in this latest tag-38 activity, this targeting is likely to be a long-term strategic priority for sponsored by Chinese Chinese countries. Active threat actors in India, “he said.

” Prevent Indian Power Network Assets targeting by Chinese-related groups offers limited economic espionage or traditional intelligence gathering opportunities. We believe this targeting is likely to be intended to allow information gatherings around critical or pre-positioning infrastructure systems for future activities, “he added.

“The purpose of intrusion may include increasing understanding into this complex system to facilitate the development of the ability to use in the future or get sufficient access throughout the system in preparation for future contingency operations,” said the future.

The group said in February last year, has reported a compromise of 10 different Indian strength sector organizations, including four of the five regional load shipping centers (RLDC), two ports, large generation operators, and other operational assets.

India and China have long denied their 3,500 km-long borders and fighting a brief border war in Arunachal Pradesh in 1962.

Tension flared up in 2020 after a high-height battle in the region far-north Ladakh, who saw a hand-to-hand battle among the contested troops in Galwan Valley.

Since then, several rounds of talks have succeeded in limited in increasing tensions and both parties have strengthened areas with additional military hardware and thousands of extra soldiers.
