India rejects allegations of harassment of journalist Rana Ayyub as 'baseless, unwarranted'

Reacting strongly, India on Monday was dubbed “unfounded and unreasonable” allegations by the United Nations mission in Geneva “Judicial Harassment” against Rana Ayyub journalists, and confirmed that the state upholds the rule of law and nothing on it.

 

Indian permanent mission in Geneva, in a tweet, said advancing “misleading narratives” only “tarnished the reputation of the United Nations mission.

 

“Allegations called judicial harassment are unfounded & unreasonable. India upholds the rule of law but is equally clear that nothing is on the law. We hope that SRS will be objective & informed accurately. Promote a misleading reputation @ Ungeneva only. It said.

 

The official source in New Delhi said this problem would be followed up by the word verbale notes from the Indian mission in Geneva.

 

“They will also take it with the UN office in Geneva,” said a source.

 

Previously, the United Nations tweeted about “misogynistic and sectarian attacks online” against Ayyub’s journalist and said they had to be immediate and investigated by Indian authorities and “justice harassment against it ended.”
