The Chairman of the Minister of Punjab Chararjit Singh Channi will become CM Congress to face in future polls. Rahul Gandhi chose CM petellings over the Punjab Congress Navjot Singh Sidhu at a Gala event in Ludhiana on Sunday.

While Channi and Sidhu showed a union show on stage, Sunil Jakhar, a leading Hindu face Congress announced his retirement from the election politics.

The former 67-year-old Punjab congress head exclusively spoke to the senior Editor of Times Hindustan Aditi Prasad for his retirement, political identity in Punjab and several issues ahead of the February 20 poll.

Jakhar hit Ambika Soni, a congress veteran who has stated that only a Sikh will be a Punjab minister.

“Congress is a secular party. There is no place for such behavior,” Jakhar added, called Soni’s statement as an example of political apartheid.

“I have never felt like a second-class citizen. In Punjab, every citizen is a first-class citizen. I am a good or bad citizen like everyone else,” he added.

But Jakhar praised Rahul Gandhi to choose Charanjit Singh Channi as the face of the Chairman of the Congress, called it a decision that would send good messages.

“It’s writing on the wall, another thing will come as a surprise for me. You don’t change the decision just because someone asks for it. Not only is it wise, but you also damage a major leader,” said Congress leader.

Jakhar continued to accumulate praise in Rahul, said the former head of the party had broken the glass ceiling.

“Rahul put the money where his mouth was. All Nowsayers who questioned their decision-making skills would be silenced,” Jakhar said.

Chanjit Channi’s aninterability attended the tension report with the Head of the Punjab Congress Navjot Singh Sidhu, who had risked the claim for the top post.

When asked whether Bonhomie between the two Sardar would live, Jakhar expressed hope.

“I have no reason to doubt Sidhu’s commitment. Rahul said the two leaders traveled with him promised to obey the decision,” he said.

“Sidhu has made peace with it. He might risk his claim later. He often made it clear, he did not want to be Darshanik,” Leader of Congress, who several days ago claimed that 42 MLA Congress supported him for the work of the minister’s head, said.
